About the Sealy Society
Established in 1995, the Sealy Society recognizes the most generous of UTMB's benefactors whose financial contributions help build a university that defines the future of health care and health sciences - in our home community, across the state and around the world.
It is altogether fitting that we link the Sealy name with the organization created to recognize individuals, foundations and corporations who demonstrate outstanding generosity in support of UTMB. The Sealy family's history of support for UTMB is legendary, dating back to the institution's founding in 1891. The Sealy family and The Sealy and Smith Foundation continue this tradition and remain among UTMB's staunchest supporters.
Membership in the Sealy Society is renewed annually through contributions of $1,000 or more and members are celebrated annually by the university at a special recognition dinner.
