The Department of Preventive Medicine and Population Health
The UTMB Department of Preventive Medicine and Population Health (PMPH), founded in 1912 has a long history of contributing to the health of Galveston, the region and beyond through education, research and clinical and community service activities. The PMPH is engaging in a collective fundraising effort to expand the number of professorships available to department faculty and is focusing on three strong programs while recognizing colleagues who have contributed to the development of these programs:

The Charles A. Berry, MD Fund in Aerospace Medicine will be awarded to a faculty member who leads the UTMB Aerospace Medicine division and will be used to support the professional development of faculty and residents in the program.

The Laura Rudkin Fund in Public Health will be used to support professional development activities for faculty and students involved in the Master of Public Health Program, under the direction of the director.

The Biostatistics and Epidemiology Fund will be used to support professional development activities for faculty and staff involved in the biostatistics and epidemiology academic program, under the direction of the program director.
