  • UTMB delivered more than 6,400 new Texans last year
  • Treated 32,317 patients in our hospitals in 2017
  • Conducted 137,488 telemedicine encounters, including medical services to National Science Foundation research stations in Antarctica
  • Through a partnership with MD Anderson, a new outpatient cancer center will open at our League City Campus in fall 2018
  • UTMB received the 2017 Vizient Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD Quality Leadership Award thus earning a 5-star academic health center rating for patient care
