  • UTMB delivered more than 6,400 new Texans last year
  • Our hospitals treated 32,317 patients in 2017
  • Conducted more than 137,000 telemedicine encounters, including medical services to National Science Foundation research stations in Antarctica
  • Through a partnership with MD Anderson, opened a new outpatient cancer center at our League City Campus
  • For the second year in a row, UTMB received the 2018 Vizient Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD Quality Leadership Award thus earning a 5-star academic health center rating for patient care
